Who is Kay?

Kay is an artist who grew up in a small town in the state of Washington. Kay’s life started out difficult, growing up in a poor family and moving constantly between houses and schools. As they grew up, they faced even more difficulties between neurodivergence, mental health, and queer identity, which all create a multitude of problems for someone's social life. These experiences are significant to their art journey though, as they allowed Kay to develop a very open mind to the idea of how complex human beings can be. The overlap of identity and experience that informs a human personality is something that fed itself directly into Kay’s love for work in character development. Kay grew a great passion for it, finding ways to showcase the vast diversity of humanity in a vast diversity of characters as well.
